MoneyPrinterTurbo GitHub: official repo, install guide and fixes
Updated November 3, 2026
The official MoneyPrinterTurbo repository is github.com/harry0703/MoneyPrinterTurbo. It is free, MIT-licensed and has about 138,000 stars. You can run it on your own computer with the Windows one-click package, pip (the official package is "mpt"), Docker or Google Colab. You will need Python 3.11+ and your own API keys for the script writer and stock footage. If you would rather skip the install, MoneyPrinterTurbo Online runs the same topic-to-video workflow in your browser.

What you need before you install it
MoneyPrinterTurbo runs on Windows 10+, macOS 11+ or Linux. A GPU is not required: if you use cloud AI models and online stock footage, CPU and memory matter more.
- A script model: an API key from OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Anthropic or another supported provider, or a local model through Ollama.
- A footage source: free API keys from Pexels or Pixabay, or your own clips.
- A voice: Edge TTS works for free without a key; Azure, ElevenLabs and others need their own keys.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Python | 3.11 or later | 3.11 |
| CPU | 4 cores | 6 to 8 cores |
| Memory | 4 GB | 8 GB or more |
| GPU | Not required | 4 GB+ VRAM for faster local subtitles |
How to install MoneyPrinterTurbo from GitHub
There are four ways to install MoneyPrinterTurbo from GitHub: the Windows one-click package, the official pip package, Docker, or the Google Colab notebook. The Windows package is the quickest to try, pip is the simplest if you already use Python, and Docker keeps everything isolated from the rest of your system.
1Windows: use the one-click package
Open the latest release on GitHub and download the .7z file from the Assets list (not "Source code"). Extract it to a folder whose path has no spaces or non-English characters, double-click update.bat to get the latest code, then double-click start.bat. The WebUI opens in your browser; use Chrome or Edge if the page stays blank.
2Any system: install the official pip package
With Python 3.11 installed, create a virtual environment, install "mpt" and start the WebUI. Add your API keys in the WebUI basic settings on first launch.
python -m venv .venv # macOS / Linux: source .venv/bin/activate # Windows: .venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1 python -m pip install mpt mpt webui3Docker: run the prebuilt image
Install Docker Desktop (on Windows, with WSL), clone the repo, copy the example config and start the release compose file. The WebUI is then at http://127.0.0.1:8501 and the API docs at http://127.0.0.1:8080/docs.
git clone https://github.com/harry0703/MoneyPrinterTurbo.git cd MoneyPrinterTurbo cp config.example.toml config.toml docker compose -f docker-compose.release.yml up4No computer setup: open the Google Colab notebook
The repo links a Colab notebook (docs/MoneyPrinterTurbo.ipynb) that installs and runs the project on Google's machines. You still add your own API keys, and the session stops when Colab disconnects.
Common installation errors and how to fix them
| Error | Fix |
|---|---|
| RuntimeError: No ffmpeg exe could be found | Download FFmpeg (for example from gyan.dev), extract it and set ffmpeg_path in config.toml to the full path of ffmpeg.exe. |
| OSError: [Errno 24] Too many open files | Raise the open-file limit on macOS or Linux, for example: ulimit -n 10240. |
| Whisper model download failed | Your machine could not reach Hugging Face. Download the faster-whisper model manually and put it in the folder the README names. |
| WebUI opens as a blank page | Open it in Chrome or Edge. |
| Install fails on Windows with odd path errors | Move the project to a path without spaces, accents or non-English characters, such as C:\MoneyPrinterTurbo. |
| "ImageMagick is not installed" | You are on old code. Current versions render subtitles with Pillow; run git pull or update.bat. |
MoneyPrinterTurbo GitHub vs MoneyPrinterTurbo Online
MoneyPrinterTurbo Online is an independent hosted service built on the open-source project's topic-to-video workflow. The GitHub version gives you more control and costs nothing but your API usage; the online version trades that for zero setup.
| GitHub (self-hosted) | MoneyPrinterTurbo Online | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free software; you pay your own API providers | Credits: 60 free on sign-up, plans from $19/month |
| Setup | Python or Docker, FFmpeg, config file | None, sign in with Google or GitHub |
| API keys | Your own LLM and footage keys | Not needed |
| Hardware | Your computer does the rendering | Rendered on our servers |
| Phone | Not supported | Works in a phone browser |
| Choice of AI providers | Dozens of LLM, voice and AI-video providers | Fixed, curated set |
| Updates | You pull new versions yourself | Always the current version |
Which one should you use?
- Use the GitHub version if you are comfortable with Python or Docker, want to plug in your own models (including free local ones through Ollama), or want to script batch jobs through its API and CLI.
- Use MoneyPrinterTurbo Online if you want a video in a few minutes without installing anything, work from a phone or a locked-down work laptop, or keep running into install errors.
The demo videos above were made with MoneyPrinterTurbo Online from a one-line topic.
MoneyPrinterTurbo GitHub FAQ
Is MoneyPrinterTurbo on GitHub free?
Yes. The code is MIT-licensed and free. Running it can still cost money if you use paid AI APIs for the script or voice, but you can keep it free with a local model through Ollama, free Pexels or Pixabay keys and the free Edge TTS voices.
Is MoneyPrinterTurbo safe to download?
Download it only from github.com/harry0703/MoneyPrinterTurbo or the official "mpt" package on PyPI. Copies on download sites, renamed forks and APK files are not published by the author and may be outdated or modified.
Does MoneyPrinterTurbo need a GPU?
No. It runs on a CPU with 4 GB of RAM at minimum. A GPU with 4 GB or more of VRAM only speeds up local subtitle transcription and heavy batch jobs.
Can I run MoneyPrinterTurbo on a Mac?
Yes. Use the pip package (python -m pip install mpt, then mpt webui), Docker, or the source install with uv. The one-click package is Windows only.
Is there an official MoneyPrinterTurbo website or app?
The GitHub repo is the official home of the open-source project; it has no mobile app. MoneyPrinterTurbo Online (moneyprinterturbo.app) is an independent hosted version that runs the same workflow in the browser, including on phones.
Is MoneyPrinter or MoneyPrinter V2 the same as MoneyPrinterTurbo?
No. MoneyPrinter and MoneyPrinterV2 are separate GitHub projects by FujiwaraChoki. MoneyPrinter made YouTube Shorts with MoviePy, and V2 adds a Twitter bot, Shorts scheduling and affiliate marketing. MoneyPrinterTurbo by harry0703 is its own codebase focused on topic-to-video with a WebUI and API.
Can I use MoneyPrinterTurbo videos commercially?
The software license (MIT) allows it. You are still responsible for the footage, music and voice licenses of each provider you use, and for the rules of the platforms you post on.
